Castle History

In the 20th century, a dedicated private owner undertook extensive work to restore the medieval and Renaissance features. The reconstruction preserved historic stonework, vaulted rooms, and impressive defensive lines. Today, Barroux Castle hosts cultural events, exhibitions, and historical tours that celebrate its storied past. Its elevated position offers sweeping views of Mont Ventoux and the lush countryside.
